Carex dipsacea is an attractive tussock grass with fine, green or bronze leaves that elegantly arch out to a length of up to 1 metre. It forms a graceful, dense tuft, adding a refined touch to garden spaces. This species usually grows along rivers, lakes and ponds within sand dunes, tall forest, shrubland, and tussock grassland. This sedge thrives in well-drained soils, including sandy and loamy types, and typically reaches its full size in 2-3 years, growing at a slow to moderate rate.
